About

My name is Judy Bowling and I currently serve as a media specialist in an Upper Elementary where I have the privilege of working with over 700 students on how to use information, literature and technology to create, communicate, and collaborate with others. I have also served as a classroom teacher as well as a technology specialist where I planned professional development for teachers throughout our school district and supported them in the use of technology into their curriculum. I am passionate about helping students and teachers grow as learners!

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Eastern Michigan University. I also have a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. As a life long learner, I connect with other educators via social media, take classes and attend conferences any chance I can get because I find it invigorating that the more I learn, the more I realize I have to learn.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. I love running and usually commit to at least one half marathon a year. Given the choice to be inside or outside, I will choose activities that get me outdoors like playing tennis, sand volleyball, biking, hiking or walking. If it's too cold outside, I'll stay indoors and curl up with a good book! I believe that it is important to sharpen your saw and find balance in your life!
